An Update on Anime Winter 2012

This is an update from the blog post on Sunday, 5 February 2012: Catch Up Winter 2012.

A list of what I am watching and in order of preference:
  1. Natsume Yuujin-cho
  2. Chihayafuru
  3. Brave 10
  4. New Prince of Tennis
  5. Moretsu Pirates
  6. Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
  7. Inu x Boku SS
  8. Aquarian Evol
  9. Bakuman S2 (Only this low because I read the manga)
  10. Recorder to Randoseru

Area no Kishi leaves the list as I haven't watched an episode in forever, which is disappointing as I had high hopes for it at the start of the season.
Brave 10 climbs many spots up because I absolutely love it!! Everything I could want from an anime. Highly recommended.

Catch Up Winter 2012

A quick catch up on this season.

What I'm actually watching, and in order of how I like them:

  1. Natsume Yuujin-cho (So lovely and calm)
  2. Chihayafuru
  3. New Prince of Tennis (Would have been first but I read the manga)
  4. Moretsu Pirates (This shocked me too, but its really good)
  5. Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (COMEDY!)
  6. Brave 10
  7. Area no Kishi
  8. Aquarian Evol
  9. Inu x Boku SS
  10. Bakuman S2 (Only this low because I read the manga)
  11. Recorder to Randoseru (Should have been a full-length feature instead of Baby, Please Kill Me)

A lot??

I don't think so.

Plus 6-10 are in danger of being dropped, because I noticed I'm being less and less bothered to watch them...because 6-9 bore me and I read 10.

How would you order this season anime??

P.S. Its snowing. :)

Kyaaaa!! Ryoma-sama!

New Prince of Tennis Anime NOW OUT!

In "The New Prince of Tennis," Ryoma and the others (team members and teams they faced) begin a new adventure when they are the only 50 middle school students to be invited to the Japanese High School Representatives Selection Camp where only the top potentials in the Japanese tennis world train. ~Anime News Network~

New POT began and its flashier than EVER! So much so for the first 5min I couldn't help but think it was too cheesy. Luckily though it past the little line between cheese and squeal-tastic!
Okay, we shall first start with Ryoma's new look:

Nice! Summer growth!

It started on a high with a nice intro of our beloved Seigaku tennis team, who were challenged to knock down 3 cans on the tennis court by high-schoolers upon entering the selection camp. All were of-course very successful.

We are told that with addition of 50 middle-schoolers into the camp they are 50 too much, so a plane is to drop 250 tennis balls, and those who can't obtain of one is to leave immediately. Cue in the middle school teams we have grown to love.

Our middle-schoolers are safe, but with the greedy likes of Kintaro and Atobe-sama ~I must~ things go sour, and the high-schoolers challenge for a match. This is of course after the flashiest of all appearances ~Kyaa! Ryoma-sama!~

The challenge is issued to a 'Megane' i.e you with glasses or four-eyes. Unfortunately we have quite a few of those ~enter megane bishounens~
The comedy here being the one who removes his glasses and the one who isn't suppose to have one.

Quite a few matches occur and Ryoma is as arrogant as ever during his match and teases the fellow player by copying his moves.
Chotaro of Hyotei however is kind enough to simply give some balls away, which Shishido-senpai comments is lame, not super-lame, but just plain lame. ~One of the funnier scenes~

The episode ends with a warning from higher ranked high-schoolers that all matches must end as they are unauthorised and that all the ones who played were of the lower ranks so the middles schoolers shouldn't get ahead of themselves.

The rank battles begin with a random shuffle in the next episode! I'm well excited!

How into it are you?!  This is TOTALLY GOING TO BE MY FAVOURITE THIS SEASON!

Anime Winter Season 2012

http://i.minus.com/ibnsXMO3Hdpt1R.jpg

Certainly watching:

  • New Prince of Tennis (Yay Ryoma-sama!)
  • Natsume Yuujinchou shi ^^
  • Daily Lives of High School Boys (Reminds me of Kimi to Boku)
  • Brave 10 (Reminds me of Shinsengumi Kitan)

Checking out:

  • Inu x Boku SS
  • Papa no lu Koto o Kikinasai!
  • PoyoPoyo Kansatsu Nikki
  • Ano Natsu de Matteru

I can't help but think there is a distinct lack of shounen action. Disappointing.

Looking forward for my Tennis Oujis!!

Enjoy!
